SUSTAINABILITY PROCESS

Sustainability

MINT are committed to creating a sustainable society actively managing our operations in a way that balances social, environmental and economic objectives. MINT respects and recognises the growing importance of ESG and sustainability to create a positive change and reduce the carbon impact.

We work closely with our reputable supply chain and manufacturers to provide quality products that are stylish and durable but also offer replaceable components to extend the products lifespan.

Our carefully selected supply chain offer:

  • A range of sustainable plain fabrics which span 300 thoughtfully developed fabrics using a variety of sustainable yarns including recycled polyester, bamboo viscose, BCI cotton and organic linen.
  • UK manufactured curtain linings which are recyclable, flame retardant and made with 100% pure natural cotton.
  • Eco roller and vertical blind cloths made from 100% recycled polyester reducing energy, water consumption, carbon footprint and repurpose post-consumer recycled pet bottles into new yarns.
  • Blind systems are manufactured using aluminium and plastic components which are 100% recyclable.
  • Our curtain sewing rooms and blind manufacturers are UK based reducing our carbon footprint.

Our team are on hand to help you understand and consider the environmental impact of your products, including the lifecycle and origins of your dressings.

Environmental

MINT as a company, and as individual team members, are committed to a green and sustainable future.

Our team have achieved IIE (Investors in the Environment) ‘Green’ accreditation.

We’re working harder thaniiE-Green-2025 ever to ensure the creation and implementation of a robust sustainability policy and practices. We look to minimise our carbon footprint and that of our supply chain. We are looking to source all materials, components, and manufacturing within the UK or EU.

Our focus is to encourage our supply chain to develop products that are 100% recycled and recyclable, along with a take-back scheme.

Community

MINT’s charity partner is Homeless Street Angels. Their ambition to end homelessness in our city. Homeless Street Angels was established in 2016 and work with Leeds City Council and Housing Options to re-house people off the streets. They are part of the Leeds Homeless Charter to help eradicate homelessness in Leeds. Once re-housed, they continue to provide ongoing support by providing food parcels and any additional help they may require.

They believe that homeless and marginalised individuals are capable of change and will only achieve their full potential when offered a safe, supportive, empowering and non-judgemental environment. It is their vision to provide such an environment and meaningful activities which will help reverse the spiral of homelessness.

Please visit their website here and read about the fantastic work they are doing to eradicate homelessness within the Leeds area.
